Epi-derm™ is a soft silicone gel sheet which is tacky on the back and
easy to apply. Epi-derm™ silicone gel sheeting is the most effective,
proven method of scar management available today. All Epi-Derm™ sheets
can be trimmed as needed.
The products are worn directly over the scar and come in either standard sheet sizes that can be cut to fit your scr to a variety of custom shapes and configurations pre-fabricated for use with specific types of scars.
Epiderm silicone get sheeting, Xeragel or Prosil must be worn a minimum of 12 hours per dayfor 8-12 weeks. Many patients report continued improvement to the scar beyond the 12 week period. When the sar stops responding for a continued period of 7-10 days, you have probably reached the point of maximum results and should discontinue using the product. You may safely wear the products beyond the 12 week period as long as you follow the instructions.
